ONCE UPON A TIME... On December 31st 1997, a teenage dream of opening a bar in Dar with a mixed crowd and a laid back atmosphere became real. Along with that bar, a small, unassuming guesthouse opened, 12 rooms in all. Comfortable, relaxed and with a casual homeliness, QBar has maintained the same welcoming character for a decade. Today it is slightly bigger (there are 20 rooms and 2 bars) with 61 members of staff. Q-Bar is located on the Msasani Peninsula. NICE COOL ROOMS The rooms all have air conditioning, mozzie nets, Digital Safe's and en-suite bathrooms. A couple of the rooms are seriously large whilst others are regular sized (large enough to swing a cat in). Budget, Standard and Executive rooms have refrigerators and satellite tv. The 8 bed Backpacker room has none of the fancy extras but does have air conditioning, Mosquito nets and private lockers. The Budget and Backpacker rooms share a bathroom.
