Motonest - Privacy Policy

Motonest ("the app", "we", "us") is a community app for motorcycle riders that helps you discover and share rider-friendly places ("nests"). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights over it. It is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible

What we collect and why

We do not collect contacts, advertising identifiers, or background location. We do not sell your data. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Where your data is stored
Your account data, submissions and photos are stored on our own server infrastructure at api.motonest.com, within the EU.
Analytics
If you agree, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. The tag starts with every consent signal denied and only sets cookies after you accept, so declining leaves nothing on your device. Google acts as our processor and may process data outside the EU under its standard contractual clauses. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Third parties
Map tiles are served by the OpenStreetMap Foundation's tile servers (tile.openstreetmap.org). When the app loads the map, your IP address is visible to that tile provider, as with any web request. No account data is sent to them. We do not share your personal data with any other third party, except where required by law.
How long we keep it
- Account data: for as long as your account exists.
- Submissions and photos: remain part of the community map unless you delete them or ask us to.
- If you delete your account, we delete your personal account data. Public submissions may be retained in anonymised form to preserve the community map.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Location and photo permissions can be revoked in your device settings at any time. To exercise any right, email contact@motonest.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in Romania: ANSPDCP).
Children
Motonest is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
